Critical NATO Studies Working Group

Adnan Zuberi
Chair

Who We Are
The Working Group consists of academics, the wider public, and students. It critically examines Canada's membership in NATO, and NATO's impact on the environment and in global affairs.
Critical analyses of NATO, as well as peace and conflict resolution strategies that promote common security and non-alignment with military blocs, are largely absent in academia, media and government.
In alignment with Science for Peace's peace education mandate, non-violent policy development advocacy and campaigns, the Working Group aims to provide a unique contribution to Canadian discourse and compliments campaigns for Canada to withdraw its membership from NATO.

Purpose
The Working Group provides public education services regarding NATO by developing fact sheets for curriculum integration, policy makers, and the wider public.
The Working Group also contributes articles and talks from experts and emerging scholars from diverse disciplines.
Meetings: Fourth Tuesday of each month, 8 PM ET
Featured
Articles represent the latest opinions surrounding the NATO. Members contribute articles, and the Working Group also invites contributed articled from leading scientists.
