Peace, Conflict and Security in the South China Sea

Professor Alexander Chieh-cheng Huang, Taiwan’s former Deputy Minister of Mainland Affairs, and Senior Associate at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) Washington D.C, will be at York University on Thursday 4th Feb to present on the China Sea frontier.

This presentation will cover controversies of island-building, nuclear dimension of the South China sea disputes and U.S-China rivalry in the region.

Members of the Science for Peace Oceans working group have teamed up with the York Center for Asian Research (YCAR) and the Taiwan Economic and Cultural Representative Office (TECO) to bring to you this presentation. TECO-Toronto is kindly sponsoring this event.
